Already one of the most in-demand session players of his generation before joining the Strawbs and YES in 1970/71, after striking out on his own, Rick became renowned for his prog rock extravaganzas, such as Journey To The Centre Of The Earth and The Myths And Legends Of King Arthur And The Knights Of The Round Table, as well his numerous tours with both his band, the English Rock Ensemble, and as a solo pianist.
Oliver’s solo career encompasses several critically acclaimed solo albums, collaborations with highly regarded musicians like Clive Nolan (Pendragon/Arena), Steve Howe (YES/Asia) and Gordon Giltrap, a series of poetry CD’s which featured Shakespearean actor Derek Jacobi, and a variety of art and music projects with fantasy artist Rodney Matthews.
The daughter of legendary British singer Steve Marriott, Mollie Marriott started her career in rock music at an early age, contributing backing vocals to Oasis’ Heathen Chemistry album at the invitation of Liam Gallagher when she was 15. Since then, she has worked and supported some serious powerhouses in rock, including Robert Plant, The Who and Paul Weller, the latter collaborating with her on her debut album, Truth Is A Wolf.
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without one of Rick’s by now traditional Yuletide shows, so there will be an additional seasonal flavour to the evening, to get everyone in the mood for the forthcoming festivities.
